SDR Cable Failure and Repair

The SDRs are back up after an Ethernet cable failed.

Had a failed Ethernet cable. I’m not sure how a passive component like that fails while just sitting there, but it did. I had 100′ and a 50′ cables connected with a coupler, and the 50′ cable failed. So I moved the antenna closer, removed the failed cable and coupler, and connected the 100′ directly to the POE splitter. Power and Ethernet restored.

While I had the box apart, I rearranged the internal components a bit and secured some of them with adhesive strips. The box no longer rattles if I shake it. 😛
